Our History
Established in April of 2011 as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with a mission to provide a safe, nurturing environment that allows children to grow physically, spiritually and academically by integrating biblical faith and quality education into all of our childcare and academic programs. The Academy was the vision of both our founder and Head of School, Brandy Burns. After 2 years of planning, dreaming, and building, our facility opened in 2013. During MSA’s inaugural year, the Academy was comprised of an early education program serving children ages six weeks to five years, a combined Kindergarten and first grade class, a before and after school and summer program serving local school districts. Enrollment quickly grew from thirty-four students in August of that first year to seventy-five students in May of that academic year.
Since that time, MSA has expanded programs to include elementary students through grade 6. The Academy is accredited for grades PreK through 6th by the Association of Christian Schools International in 2015 and Cognia in 2017. Additionally, in 2020, the infant through PreK programs and school age childcare programs received recognition as a 4-Star program (the highest rating) by Texas Rising Star, a quality rating system for early education programs.
